Personal views on those ten (ok based on my practicing mantra meditation and reading of ancient books on religious matters):
Love yourself – This requires knowledge or even realization of who we actually are. Are we matter, mind or spirit soul?
Accept others – See above, plus here one could think about rejecting lust, greed, anger, hatred, jelousy etc. as contradictory to the qualities of ones real self. They are also not the true qualities of fellow man who manifests them in their external life due to false identification with matter.
Responsibility – There is choice, and the amount of choice is dependent on how much aloof we are from identifying with the body as our self. Do we need to adapt a process for us to rise above that false ego?
Be a Master – This has all to do with discipline and being a disciple. What about having a guru who teaches by words and example? How far can one go just by reading books written by gurus?
Live in joy – This is a tricky one. Is there actually real joy in material achievements, even philantrophical activities?
What if we really are eternal beings, parts of God. Can we as eternal souls be content with joys that automatically end by the influence of time? Could this be a hidden secret related to our not being happy with the constant duality of joy and sorrow?
What about sharing in the joy of God by developing and experiencing a loving relationship with Him?
God means the all-attractive one. Think about it. Here in this world there are so many attractive things and wonderful persons. And also there is an axiom stating that the source can not have less qualities than the emanation.
The voice within – I guess we all have felt something when we were about to do that which we should not. That is the Supersoul within. He wants our best.
Let us give Him a chance of proving Himself by us listening to that inner voice. More and more the joy of inner life will manifest.
Thankful and humble – Yes, this will at some point develope into a desire to give back, the first steps on the road to Love.
Sustenance – there is an ancient vedic aphorism – the one Supreme Eternal maintains all other eternal living entities.
Temple of the soul – Yes, be healthy, wealthy and wise. Although that wealth, if it is of a mundane character, it´s by definition not ours, since time will steal it from us. Thus it is less important.
Now – that is all we can experience. Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur said in one of his poems, dont dwell in the past that was, do not dream of the future. Act now, thus progress will follow.
There is a more subtle side to this. The sense perceptions are from the past since it takes some time for those impulses to reach the brain and converted to experience. A different kind of NOW experience can be had by contact with the Supersoul.
