Description:
Play the song while you and your child
listen. Discuss the events of Rosa Park's
life that are mentioned in the song. Give your child some
background information on the differences in the way whites and
blacks were treated during that time period of America's
history.

Sing the song together, and talk
about why the Negro community boycotted public
transportation. Explain the nonviolence of
this action, and how it eventually resulted in
