The differences between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama

What are the differences

between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama?

Often their political proposals seem quite similar -

So: Aren't those right who say

"When both seem so similar, let's choose the more experienced person!"?

Here's what Barack Obama has to say about this:

(Thanks to Garr Reynolds who referenced this speech on his wonderful blog Presentation Zen )

It is interesting. I’ll state upfront that I support Hilary. However, I can fully understand why Obama is so popular, he really does great speeches and has alot of personal appeal.

I wouldn’t be horribly upset if he won, I just think Hilary would be better. I can’t vote for someone because I “like” them. I have to vote because of the job they’ve done and the job I believe they will do.

I think the biggest factor that makes them difference is that Obama is Obama-sistible

Thanks SO MUCH for posting this piece, Peter!!! I’m head over heels in love with Barak Obama because he’s so clear when he’s articulating distinctions. And this one is crucial. The only way out of the mess we’ve gotten into over the last 35 years is to get back to bottom-up democracy.

Now that we have this wonderful communication mechanism, the internet, we can and MUST add in full transparency … and civil conversation about the issues amongst all of us.

I grew up in Washington, DC, right in the middle of the government. Today, I live right down the road from where this speech was made (I’m in southern Oregon now). Every morning for the last 6 months, I’ve thanked God that I have lived long enough to see the possibility of someone like this wonderful human being becoming the leader of our nation.
