Industry Consortium of SOIL

Industry Consortium of SOIL

Co-Creating the Institute

What is it?

A select consortium of corporate firms who share SOIL's vision and ethos is invited to partner with SOIL to enhance mutual learning and standards in higher education. This network of accomplished professionals, would help impart overall direction to curriculum design, participate in the admission process, review the quality of teaching, learning and industry research and lead the placement process.

Taking learning beyond the classroom, SOIL would study the operations of each company in its industry consortium and in partnership, develop a case study relevant to its curriculum. When this is discussed in the classroom, a company leader would facilitate the learning process along with the faculty member of SOIL, to make the exchange more meaningful and real.

Guiding Principles

We are a group of companies that care a lot about the right ways of doing business. We believe that goodness has to prevail over greed if businesses have to become sustainable. Ethics is important to us as it is the only way to serve the interests of all our stakeholders. Transparency, integrity and no deception of any kind are the cornerstone of Ethics. In the long run these always create "Value" in every sense of the term.

We believe that leaders must have compassion and must "feel" for those who are not so fortunate around us. We believe that it is our responsibility to actively work towards improving their capacity so that they can improve their living standards. We realize that nations and communities cannot improve unless corporate become good citizens who actively contribute to the creation and maintenance of good physical and social infrastructure and participate in lead movements for advocacy of consumer and human rights, good civic sense, safety and security, communal harmony and a peaceful and healthy planet. In this regards we encourage partnerships between businesses and NGO's and Governments to do more "good".

We believe that greater spiritual and self awareness helps people to increase appreciation of each other's religious beliefs and develop the feeling of "oneness" amongst all living beings. This also keeps people on the path of "virtue, courage and wisdom" and helps them to be joyful and create excellence in what they do.

We know that love for nature and concern for ecological balance encourages us to look for practices and behaviors that consume lesser energy and reduces the damage that we do to the environment so that we produce more than what we consume. Elimination of waste therefore is of paramount importance to us. Creating and embracing green technologies we believe is both good and profitable in the long term.

We believe that education is the key force that can make the above principles comes to life. It is for the reason we whole heartedly support and encourage the School of Inspired Leadership.
