for verbal usage of act on in sentance 2 is wrong, act on is used when you have some action and for that we need to put our reaction, there we use act on, for statement 2 its not correct,

for quant: let the AP be a-d, a,a+d and given d=7 thus we know from the language of question when the no. are in gp then (b2=ac) so, (a-7) (a+11) = (a-1)2

    giving a = 13 thus a+7= 20 hence answer is (2)

So,folks here are the correct answers

    Verbal Ability
The correct answer is 4. Get one’s act together implies to get organized. However, in statement 4, it is used in the context of better acting, which is incorrect usage.
    Problem Solving
    The correct answer is A.

    Let the 3 numbers in A.P. be (a-7), a, (a+7). Then, (a-7), (a-1), (a+11) are in G.P.

    \Rightarrow (a-1)^2 = (a-7)(a+11)
    \Rightarrow a^2 - 2a + 1 = a^2 + 4a -77
    \Rightarrow 6a = 78 \Rightarrow a = 13
    Hence the largest number i.e. a+7 = 20
