Introduction The esteemed institute was founded in 1973 as was approved by UGC. The name itself is quite self explanatory, it was named after and founded for Shrimati Satyawati who was a remarkable lady who withheld morality and strong conviction represented in womanhood, which she herself was the epitome of. Shrimati Satyawati was born on 26th January 1907 in Ludhiana. She was the grand daughter of Mahatma Munshi Ram who was latter known as a great social reformer, Swami Shraddhanand. She was one of the iron maidens of the country who established the Congress Mahila Samaj with organizing another front for women as Congress's Desh Sewika Association as new wing for women giving them equal space to fight for India's independence. As mother of two she never fell short of her courage therefore always stood firm in the cause of the nation, providing liberation to the country and its women. Her exuberant participation was witnessed in times of Swadeshi Movement to boycott foreign goods. During this era she organized many processions as well. As a woman she was full of zeal and audacity to work with the leading names of the time like Acharya Narendra Dev, Ram Manohar Lohia, and Jawaharlal Nehru proving her full metal and inspiring valor. In 1940 she was imprisoned but never gave up the idea of liberty. Again in 1942 with the onset of Quit India Movement she was taken to prison again where she managed to hoist the national flag over the building of the jail without the fearing the havoc done by the British oppressors. Therefore till date the college stands firm on the individual liberation principle also safe guarding the rights of every one and teaching their students the same. |

College The college is located at Ashok vihar, Phase-3, Delhi-110052. the college is a co-ed institution. The approximate distance of the college from the main North Delhi Campus is around 3 Kms. But the area is well connected by roadways and bus services are frequent on the route making it convenient for students. |

Facilities and
Infrastructure This college starts from 4: oopm and works till 8:oopm. In evening organizations like Students union works efficiently here. The college has three storied building with a state of the art Computer Lab. A very fine Multi Media Hall is also provided to the students for various activities. |

| The tennis, basketball courts are located on the lush green grounds of the college also the cricket pitch is accommodated here in college vicinity. Here the college library is bejeweled by a huge collection of books side by side it provides periodicals and vital journals too, the library is computerized as well. A new structure is on the rise here as college auditorium. The internet and intranet facilities are ready to be availed by students on campus. The Laboratories are fully equipped for the best interests of the students. But the hostel facility is not available currently. |

Students society and
Annual Activities The multi-hued Music and Dramatic society is quite a show stealer amongst the youths participating and looking forward to. The college also organizes debates and dramas on national levels. The college's NCC group for both girls and boys have won many national awards. Discipline is cultivated in all the students and many bodies like sexual harassment cell operates to give voice to students in case of any crisis. |
| The college counseling is also provided as to ensure a healthy environment. Rock climbing was the annual activity of the college also NCC group organized and participated in the Blood donation Bank. Arts and culture society award many certificates with college scholarship programme. The college also offers a Women Development Center. Previously the college has achieved and gained many laurels in athletic activities like body building, power lifting, kabbadi, wrestling, judo, throw ball and archery. |
