About SolBridge - An International University

A Unique Business School

The SolBridge faculty and staff are complemented by a close network with industry, government and other academic institutions around the world. This network assures that graduates not only receive outstanding instruction, but are connected with a career-building dialog with others around the world while they are still students.

The human network and commitment to the careers of students makes SolBridge a unique environment for study and a fast track for advancement.

All Bachelor's Degree students must choose from among three East Asian languages - Japanese, Chinese or Korean - to become fluent within the course of their four-year program. Each semester, students will incorporate language study into their normal business curriculum. Coupled with cultural studies, the international student body and the Korean environment, students will graduate with this vital extra tool to achieve success in the global business environment.

Nurturing the next generation of business leaders with a broad perspective and in-depth knowledge of Asia.

SolBridge International School of Business was created in response to the need for a global program that focuses on Asian business and the evolving relationships among their economies and the rest of the world. Originated as an international business school, with international faculty using English language as medium of instruction, SolBridge International School of Business serves as a research and educational institution that encourages students to generate ideas for business and for new business incubation.

Facilities

The new 14-story SolBridge complex in downtown Daejeon features state of the art, multi-media conference and Internet facilities for teaching from off-campus locations around the world. This enables SolBridge to bring frequent guest lecturers to their program that otherwise would be impossible due to distance and time constraints.

The SolBridge complex is a completely wireless facility which enables students to open their laptops anywhere for immediate Internet access. Within the same academic / leisure facility students are able to take time out from their studies for a sauna, a swim, intensive training in the fitness center, or a game of basketball in the gymnasium and afterward relax in the library or in one of the many lounges.

The combined academic / leisure facility provides students with the incentive to keep their bodies fit while developing their minds.

The Approach: Applied and Practical Learning

At SolBridge, the belief is that learning is not valuable if it stays in textbooks and notes, and therefore SolBridge emphasizes applied and practical learning. Through internships and projects, SolBridge ensures that students are taken out of the classroom and into the realities of today's business world.

In their final semester, all SolBridge students will undertake research projects designed to expose them to real-life business issues, thereby consolidating what they have learned, and rounding off the knowledge they have gained during their studies.
