WELCOME The North Vancouver School District is pleased to offer its Summer International Education Program, a successfully proven learning experience for students of all age levels. Our students can arrange their own schedule and select from morning ESL classes and afternoon activities.
Customized Program
For groups of 15 or more, the North Vancouver School District will customize a package for international groups (aged 10-18) which would include: • Medical Insurance • Tuition for full-day courses and activities* • Welcome and Farewell Receptions • T-Shirt- afternoon activities may include: swimming, golfing, bowling, team sports, crafts, excursions to Grouse Mountain, the Aquarium, Granville Island or other activities.
ESL
Students at all English Language proficiency levels may register (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced). Students will be assessed as to proficiency level and grouped accordingly for effective instruction. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing will be stressed to varying degrees, depending on proficiency level.
ELEMENTARY PROGRAM:
Morning Instruction Program
July 3rd to July 18th 9 - 11:30 am $280
July 21 to August 1st 9 - noon $280
Integrated Afternoon Program
Also available wil be an integrated active afternoon program where the students can experience the Canadian community. The activities may include the following: possible visits to Grouse Mountain, Granville Island, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Stanley Park, or Ambleside beach as well as athletics, scavenger hunts, or swimming to name just a few. This will provide a wonderful opportunity to join Canadian children in experiencing the neighbourhood in a fun and educational way.

SECONDARY PROGRAM:
This course will help students gain information on study skills (e.g. note taking, test preparation, coopera-tive group discussion etc.), vocabulary and grammar associated with high school academic programs, Canadian culture and history as well as other necessary skills for success in the regular school system.
