InternationalStudentLoans.com is the source for student loans, offering information for both US student studying abroad and international students in the US.

IEFA, the International Education Financial Aid is another great source with a scholarship search engine.

EduPass is a great site with plenty of articles and resources about financing your international education, including calculating college fees, financial planning, and income tax information.

Funding for US Studies offers an extensive database of scholarships, fellowships and grants organized and maintained by the Institute of International Education (IIE).

The Foundation Center is an online resource devoted to foundations that fund individuals. The site also features a section for international grant seekers.

US Journal of Academics provides information as well as a list of resources about scholarships for study in the US.

There are tons of scholarships out there and hundreds of thousands of dollars of them go unclaimed every year in Canada and the United States of America. We tell all the prospective students we see to apply, apply, apply. Some scholarships might take an hour or two to complete but if in the end they could be worth $50,000.00 it is highly unlikely that one would ever get that kind of return for their effort.

  There are a lot of PhD scholarships around for people who’ve demonstarted successin their earlier study career. In fact, people would much rather give a PhD student money than a Bachelor level student who hasn’t really proven his or her abilities yet.
  
  The links above can help you find some good scholarships. You should also check with the school you want to study at, as well as any associations that may relate to the PhD you’re interested in. What type of program do you plan to get into?
  
  If you do some background research using the great online resources available, from Google to the sites above and in other lessons, you’re sure to find some great opportunities.

i will apply for fall 2010… phd in computer science…. will take GRE before oct and AGRE in nov… I wanna know if there other financial aid rather than universities who will sponsor my course n living expenses… ? what should be the steps to follow from rite now to get a secure financial aid? plz suggest oLahav…

  As I mentioned above, taking a quick browse through the links in the lesson can help you see if there are any useful scholarships. While universities offer a lot of scholarships, other organizations also offer them. Some organizations likely to support your PhD in Computer Science will be large computer/technological companies, searching google or their respective websites can help you find information. And don’t forget about the LearnHub Dream Scholarship and other ones.
  
  First step is searching for potential scholarships and noting the deadlines. After you found some good potential ones which you can do right now, start filling out applications, writing essays and requesting references, and send in the application packages. Good luck.

  You should begin by looking over the Purdue website or contacting the admissions person you’ve dealt with and finding information about scholarships offered by Purdue University. This can help you get started. After that, use the links above and in this amazing lesson to find other potential scholarships.
  
  It may also be a good idea to start thinking about other options, such as loans which are usually quite popular. It’s not easy to find scholarships that will finance your full studies, so getting a loan is often a solution.

Hi, I am a student from Afghanistan and now applying for Bachelor degree in USA. One of the colleges will grant me admission only if I can pay $32000, my parents and the college will contribute $11000, it means I need $22000. Does anyone know of any organization, foundation that offers financial aid and I can apply for? Or do you know of any other scholarships?

  You should search for scholarships using some of the search engines mentioned above. Scholarships of $22,000 are not easy to get, but if you can find 5 scholarships of just $5,000 that’ll get you covered. You should consider that when applying. As well, if you don’t manage to find or successfully apply for enough scholarships, a loan may be a solution. Best of luck.
