Idea # 26: Shopping trolley with scanner
I hate standing in queues, or at least standing and waiting in a queue without being offered something entertaining or educational in the meantime ….. and when I go for grocery shopping I often prefer to go to the self check-out device in order to leave the shop earlier. Well, it seems to me that machines are already replacing human beings for low-skilled tasks, so I wonder whether we even need to waste our time also in scanning each single product before we can pay our items.
Would it not be much better creating a shopping trolley which actually on a display would already tell you how much you need to pay as soon as you put something in it. Instead of inserting a coin to get a trolley you should be able to insert your credit card and pay for your bill. No cashier, no expensive check-out machine required …..
