So, you're from another country and you want to study in Canada. How much will it cost? The short answer is it depends on what and where you're studying. Let's compare, shall we?
The current average tuition fee per year in Canada for international students was $13,985 in 2007/2008, according to Statistics Canada.
Don't forget…
Books, school supplies (like advanced calculators), transportation for getting to and from school.
Saving Money
Buying schoolbooks can be up to $1000 or more. You can buy used books (which are virtually new) at bookstores on your campus. You can also borrow from other students who are your friends. Last year I spent only about $400 on books for the entire year.
Note that these tuition fees are for International students - these estimates are taken from their websites. Unless otherwise noted, these costs don't list extra tuition fees to support room and board or the college/university's extra services and activities - like their gym facilities, health services, campus newspaper, student services, etc.
