Scranton, Pennsylvania
Marywood University is located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Scranton
is Pennsylvania's seventh most populous city and has a population
of approximately 80,000. Scranton has a large Irish population -
the city holds an annual Saint Patrick's Day Parade. There is also
a significant Polish population here too.
Many of Scranton's
attractions celebrate its heritage as an industrial center in iron
and coal production as well as its ethnic diversity. These
attractions include the Electric City Trolley Museum, The Steamtown
National Historic Site, and the Scranton Iron Furnaces. If you had
a love of trains and railroads growing up, this is
the city for you!
There is lots of things to do in Scranton. We even have the
Houdini Museum, one of the world's top magic
attractions! There are many restaurants, hotels, and shopping
stores. Scranton is a great, safe, small city to live in!
