These days, it seems no one is satisfied with the amount of zeros at the end of his or her paycheck. According to a new CareerBuilder survey, 83 per cent of employees are living paycheck to paycheck to make ends meet.

Twenty-three per cent of respondents said they would need to earn an extra $251 to $500 more per paycheck to live comfortably, while 12 per cent said they need to earn $501 to $750.

With the current national median salary at $40,690, these statistics are as surprising as they are expected.

If you're looking to earn a few more dollars per paycheck, here are 15 jobs that earn between $60,000 and $69,999 annually, which are also expected to experience growth through 2016.




Appraiser

An appraiser is one who sets a value upon property, real or personal. In England the business of an appraiser is usually combined with that of an auctioneer, while the word itself has a similar meaning to that of "valuer."

Increase between 2006 and 2016: 17 per cent


Architect

An architect is a licensed individual who leads a design team in the planning and design of buildings and participates in oversight of building construction. In its broadest sense, an architect is a person who translates a user's requirements into a built environment.

Increase between 2006 and 2016: 18 per cent


Communications Editor

An editor's work includes editing language, images, sound, video, or film through correction, condensation, organization, and other modifications in various media. Editing is, therefore, also a practice that includes creative skills, human relations, and a precise set of methods.

Projected employment in 2016: 124,000
Increase between 2006 and 2016: 9 per cent


Computer Programmer Analyst

A specialist in one area of computer programming who writes code for many kinds of software. One who practices or professes a formal approach to programming may also be known as a programmer analyst. A programmer's primary computer language is often prefixed to the above titles, and those who work in a web environment often prefix their titles with web.

Counseling Psychologist

A psychologist is a practitioner of psychology, the scientific investigation of the mind, including behavior, cognition, and affect. Applied psychologists are further subdivided into a number of mental health and other professions, the most well-recognized being clinical and counseling psychologists.
