Entrance
Requirements for International Students

Here at the
University of Stirling, we welcome applications from all
countries and will consider them on an individual basis.
The University recognizes the many different qualifications
available. Generally speaking the qualifications which allow you to
enter a Bachelor degree in your own country would be considered for
entry here at Stirling, either directly or via our tailored
Undergraduate Certificate which leads to second year degree
entry.
For postgraduate study, again the University recognizes and
understands the systems in many different countries throughout the
world. As a guide, a strong 4-year Honours degree would be the
normal qualification presented for study by a student applying from
outside the UK.

English
Language Requirements
If your native
language is not English you will need to present evidence of your
English language level. The most normal qualifications are
IELTS and TOEFL.
Depending on your chosen programme of study, the required scores
range from IELTS 6 (TOEFL 213) to
IELTS 7 (TOEFL 250).Prospective students
should check the specific levels required for their chosen
programme by checking the undergraduate programme listings or
postgraduate programme listings as appropriate.
There are many other recognized tests and you are welcome to
contact the Student Recruitment and Admissions Service for further
guidance if required.
