At Stirling we
recognize the importance of the course you come to study but we
also realize that the location and the environment you study in are
vital. With a single site in Stirling for all teaching,
administration and recreation we offer an incredible
international atmosphere, superb convenience and safety
for all our students.
In this section you can find out more about where we are, what you
can do on and off campus and what our international students think
about the Stirling experience.

Sharing
Your Interests
Stirling University Students' Association, or SUSA, helps students organize activities, from sport to cultural activities and more. SUSA also provides a framework within which students can organize clubs and societies which suit their interests. A list of clubs and societies can be found on the SUSA web site or on the University web pages.
Sports at
Stirling
The University
is a great place for sport and offers excellent sporting
facilities on a beautiful campus. Facilities include a
large indoor sports hall, a 9 hole golf course, squash courts,
swimming pool, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a fitness centre
and an athletics track. A full range of classes are offered, aimed
at all levels of sports and fitness requirements. We also make use
of Airthrey Loch, which sits at the centre of campus, for canoeing
and other water sports.
You can find details of all the sports facilities on campus by
visiting the Department of Sports Studies web pages. These web
pages will show you how to take advantage of the outstanding
sporting opportunities available at the University.

The
Chaplaincy Centre
The
Chaplaincy Centre provides a friendly and welcoming place
for all students. You can go there for support, advice or a
listening ear or simply use it as a place to sit, relax and
reflect.
In addition, the Chaplaincy offers a wide variety of social
opportunities, such as charity lunches and society meetings. Tea,
coffee and other light refreshments are served throughout the
day.
Social
Life on Campus
There are a variety of bars on campus, the majority of which serve alcohol. They also offer a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks and teas or coffees and you are welcome to go to the bars and not drink alcohol.

Social
Life away from Campus
The city of
Stirling offers a variety of daytime and evening
entertainment, including pubs, bars, clubs and
restaurants, a bowling alley and cinema. There are plenty of
shopping opportunities in Stirling. Most shops open until 5.30 pm
most days, with many opening until 8.00 pm on Thursdays. Stirling
plays an important role in the history of Scotland and the city and
local area offer a number of opportunities to discover more.
You will find a whole host of things to do in the nearby cities of
Glasgow and Edinburgh, both of which can be reached by train or bus
in under an hour. Both cities have a long and interesting history
and culture and they both offer art galleries and museums, shops
and restaurants, as well as a variety of clubs and pubs.
