is always available, with specialist staff to help develop your

Sports
Facilities
As a
Student at Waltham Forest College, you will be able to take
advantage of the 30 metre heated swimming pool and sauna. The pool
is open to all full-time students for a small fee and a variety of
swimming courses are on offer.
The College offers a programme of sport activities, including
badminton and table tennis. Additionally, students can use nearby
facilities such as the YMCA gymnasium and
squash courts, or the local running track.
Places to
Eat
Waltham Forest
College has a restaurant, the Mallinson Room, the Forest Café and
the Caféteria. The Mallinson and the Forest Café are used as
training areas for students on catering and hospitality courses and
they are renowned for their delicious and culturally diverse
food.
Hairdressing
and Beauty Academies
The College also
has its own Hair and Beauty Academies where students can gain
valuable work experience. They are open to staff and students, as
well as the general public. They are highly regarded for their
quality of service at very competitive prices. You can find them at
the Forest Road Building and Uplands House.
Leisure
Programme
We
organise weekend trips to places and cities of interest for
example, Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton, Dover Castle and Canterbury.
We also have student social events during the year such as a
Christmas Party. The trips cost between £12- £20.
Part-time
Employment
International
students from outside the European Union who are studying on a full
time course are allowed, under UK Immigration rules, to work up to
twenty hours per week during term time and full time during College
vacations.
