Insurance

Because the United States does not have a socialized medical program, all students are required to purchase medical insurance upon enrollment. Even though the insurance does not cover 100 percent of all costs incurred, the insurance coverage generally pays for a large percentage of cost for illnesses that may occur.

Financial Aid

New international students are eligible for competitive academic scholarships based upon their secondary school grades, class rank and ACT/SAT scores. Students wishing to apply for scholarships must submit the current scholarship application forms as well as all application materials required for admissions. In addition to academic scholarships, all international students are eligible for athletic based grants in all intercollegiate sports dependent upon the needs and expectations of the athletic department.

Housing

To assist students in their academic success, on-campus housing is available for all full-time students attending Park University. Park University requires all single students under the age of 21 (not living with parents, legal guardians or children, and having less than 58 credit hours) to live in a residence hall. The halls open a few days before fall classes and close the weekend of commencement in May. Housing is available during all break periods. Winter and Summer break housing is not part of the academic year agreement, there is a per night charge.  The residence halls have satellite television, data connections to each room, computer labs, television lounges, kitchens, game areas and clothes washing and drying facilities. Students will receive an application for housing after being admitted to Park University.

Hi Zilgai,

I believe the USA does have an embassy in Kabul. You can find information on getting your study visa here: Canada has an embassy in Afghanistan but it does not work with visas and immigration. You would have to apply through the Canadian embassy in Islamabad. More information can be found here:
