The Common
Admission Test (CAT) was held from
22nd October to 18th November, 2011. The test is generally
conducted for giving admission to all 13 Indian Institute of
Management and other 150 management institutes of the country which
accept the test score. The students can check their CAT result by visiting official website of
CAT: https://weaiimcalcat.catiim.in/
or they can also check the result on: www.catiim.in. The students can check
the result from 12 A.M. onwards.
This year IIMs sold out almost 2.06 lakh CAT vouchers however just 2.05 lakh candidates
registered for the test. This year 1.85 lakh students appeared in
the exam. The IIMs will now announce dates for admissions to the
next academic year.
Talking about the usual heavy online traffic of students trying to
access their results and a consequent freezing of the website,
faculty at IIM Calcutta and convener of
CAT 2011Jankiraman Moorthy said, "We have
taken adequate measures like upgrading the technologies and so on
to avoid such inconveniences this year."
