Indian Institute of Management (IIMs)-Bangalore,
Ahmedabad and Calcutta-once again ranked among the top 10 B-Schools
in the Asia-Pacific region. These are the top notch B-schools of
the country and each year proving their excellence in the field and
in the global market.
These three B-schools have managed to secure their position in the list of top ten. The QS Global 200 Business School Report 2012 has ranked these B-Schools as top B-schools among other Indian schools in the global ranking.
In this global ranking IIM-Ahmedabad is ranked at second place, where as IIM-Bangalore at fifth place and IIM-Calcutta is ranked at eighth position. This time IIM-A and IIM-C has demonstrated good improvement in the employer opinion in the region by going up four positions.
There are some other institute such as Indian School of Business has been ranked at seventh place, S P Jain Institute of Management and Research and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade has been ranked at 16th and 21st position respectively.
INSEAD, Singapore is rated at first place in the region for the third year in a row. Melbourne Business School (University of Melbourne, Australia), NUS Business School, (National University of Singapore) and University of New South Wales are some other institutes which are ranked among the top 10 in the region.
The report says, "IIM-B has shown gradual improvements in the ratings, climbing from sixth (2009) to fifth (2010) and this year missed the top cluster by just 2.7 points. Many of Asia's business schools lack in international student enrolment, causing concern among employers who are looking for graduates to work in a multinational environment"
