Let's delve deeper into finding what is it with IIT Delhi that has set the eyes rolling…

Be it JEE toppers or AIEEE Toppers, of this year or that year, IIT Delhi is the most preferred choice for all engineering aspirants. What is it after all, that makes it the most sought after choice for all?

Having interviewed a couple of engineering entrance exam toppers and gone through the quotes by many from last year, Learnhub goes neck deep into finding what is it about IIT Delhi that has caught the IIT Delhi trend picking.

Talking to Arpit Aggarwal, IIT JEE Topper 2012 over why would he want to pick IIT Delhi, he said, "Delhi will give me maximum exposure. I pick Delhi in an attempt to improve my personality."

While some pick it for the popular and renowned specialization of Computer Science, others pick it only for the love of the city and exposure it can bring along.

Kshitij Jain, CBSE 2012 Topper said "I plan to move to IIT Delhi though I am not sure about the stream yet."

Dravyansh Sharma, last year's CBSE Topper who also secured #7 rank in IIT JEE said, "I want to either study electronics or computer science from IIT Delhi. IIT Delhi is my dream institute."

And now Akshay Aggarwal, AIEEE 2012 UP State topper, who has an AIR #3 said, "I want to do B-Tech from IIT Delhi, because its near to my house. I want to study Computer Science."

Raghuvansh Raj Saxena topped the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) by securing all India rank 23 from Lucknow and he is routed in the same direction.

The Times of India reports another top ranker from Lucknow, Karan Bansal who secured an all India rank of 201 and 192nd rank in the IIT-JEE. Even before the AIEEE result was out, he had decided to go to IIT-Delhi and study computer science.

In conversation with Abhishek Jha, expert counsellor at Learnhub, I could give a logical end to this choice. He said, "IIT Delhi is one of the oldest campuses, offering great placements and being in the center of all the action. It has a number of locational advantages attached to it besides boasting of a great faculty, it is close to the industrial hubs of thousands of potential employers in the industry."
