This document outlines the terms and conditions that govern the LearnHub Inc. (“LearnHub”) Scholarship (the “Scholarship”). Please read these terms and conditions before applying for the Scholarship. These terms and conditions constitute a legal agreement between you and LearnHub that becomes effective upon your application for the Scholarship.

- The applicant must be an entering full-time student in the 2010 academic year (Typically, “full-time” enrollment involves the student registering for 18 credit points per semester. LearnHub reserves the right to revise the lower cap on the number of credits at any point of time)

- The recipient must be able to demonstrate admission to and plans to enroll in the applicable educational institution
2.1 Accepting the Scholarship
The recipient will receive an offer letter containing detailed information on the Scholarship and the acceptance procedure for the Scholarship. This letter will also outline the acceptance date – a deadline before which a student must communicate his/her acceptance of the Scholarship offer.
To be entitled to accept the Scholarship, the recipient must:
- Complete the acceptance procedure for the Scholarship before the acceptance date. If the acceptance procedure is not complete or the applicant does not meet the acceptance date, the Scholarship may be withdrawn and/or reallocated.
- Continue to meet the eligibility requirements above.
2.2 Payment of the Scholarship
Payment of the Scholarship will be made provided that the recipient is at the end of the first semester, enrolled in the applicable educational institution. A one-time payment will be made only after the submission of the proofs outlined below.
Proofs required: The recipient must submit the following documents to receive the Scholarship amount:
- letter of enrollment from the applicable educational institution
- latest transcript for the applicable educational institution
- account details for deposit of funds
- any other proof that is deemed necessary by LearnHub
2.3 Mode of Payment
The Scholarship amount will be transferred in either of the following ways:
- by direct transfer to the applicable educational institution
- by direct transfer to the recipient’s bank account
LearnHub reserves the right to introduce any other means of payment at any point of time.
2.4 Retention/Termination of Scholarship
To retain the scholarship, the student will have to maintain the following eligibility criteria:
- Maintain enrollment in the applicable educational institution, and inform LearnHub of any changes therein within 7 days
- Adhere to the applicable educational institution’s academic and administrative policies
- Maintain satisfactory academic standing in all subjects/courses. LearnHub may ask for transcripts as proof of standing.
Failure in observing the above guidelines may lead to termination of the Scholarship. See also below under “General Provisions”.
3. General Provisions
3.1 Encumbrances
If at any point of time, there are encumbrances by the applicable educational institution against the recipient (such as unpaid fees, etc.), LearnHub may withhold payment of the Scholarship until they are resolved.
3.2 Deferment of Scholarship
If a recipient’s appeal for deferment in joining is accepted by the applicable educational institution, LearnHub will continue the Scholarship after the recipient has joined the applicable educational institution. Requests for deferment of Scholarships will be accepted for a deferment period of up to 1 year. For deferments greater than 1 year, the Scholarship will be withdrawn from the recipient.
3.3 Transfer
LearnHub may revoke the Scholarship if a recipient chooses to transfer to another educational institution. In case of transfer to another course/program in the same educational institution, the recipient will still receive the Scholarship.
3.4 Discontinuation of Study
If the recipient chooses to discontinue his/her studies, LearnHub will revoke the Scholarship. This will lead to cancellation of any/all due payments.
If the recipient later returns to the same educational institution, he/she will have to apply again to be eligible for the Scholarship.
3.5 Not Maintaining Enrolled Status
Recipients must maintain their “enrolled status” in their educational institution. Failing this Learnhub will terminate the Scholarship and cancel any/all due payments.
3.6 Unsatisfactory Academic Performance
LearnHub may terminate the Scholarship if the recipient’s academic performance is unsatisfactory (in LearnHub’s sole discretion). If required, LearnHub may ask the student to furnish proof/validation of satisfactory academic standing by requesting official transcripts, before making payment.
3.7 Expulsion/Suspension
LearnHub may terminate the Scholarship if the recipient is expelled or suspended or excluded by the applicable educational institution for any reason.
3.8 Violation of Terms and Conditions
LearnHub may terminate the Scholarship if the recipient is found to have violated the terms and conditions of the Scholarship.
3.9 Improper Submission of Proofs
LearnHub may terminate the Scholarship if the recipient does not submit the required proofs, as described above, or submits incomplete/improper proofs.
3.10 Provision of false information
The Scholarship is based on the information provided to LearnHub. If at any point of time the recipient is found having provided false/incorrect information or found to be withholding relevant information LearnHub may terminate the Scholarship.
3.11 Consequence of Termination of Scholarship
The recipient’s eligibility for the Scholarship and future scholarships from LearnHub will be cancelled and he/she will not be eligible to receive any payments from LearnHub.
3.12 Other Scholarships, etc.
The Scholarship does not disallow the recipient from applying to any other bursary or scholarship. However, laws governing financial aid or university/college regulation might create a situation wherein a recipient is not entitled to any other form of scholarship or bursary. LearnHub is not responsible for any such loss of opportunity. LearnHub reserves the right to revoke the scholarship offer if required to do so by applicable law.
3.13 Taxation of Scholarship Amount
Tax laws differ in different jurisdictions. Depending on the college/university’s location, and use of the Scholarship amount, the recipient may have to pay taxes on the Scholarship. LearnHub does not provide tax advice – applicants must inform themselves as to the tax consequences of receiving the Scholarship.
3.14 Promotional Uses
