Thanks for enrolling in the course!

English is a Germanic language, which means it originates from Germany. Other similar languages include Scots (from Scotland) and Frisian and Dutch (from the Netherlands).

Most English words are from Latin, Greek, Old English or German origin.

According to the McGill admission criteria: The GRE Test is recommended for the following applicants: those who do not have a B.Sc. or equivalent from a Canadian university; those who have been out of university for 5 years or more. Only the General Test is mandatory. For consideration, students must obtain a minimum score of 550 in verbal and quantitative categories and a score of 3.5 to 4 in analytical writing.

Other universities would probably ask for the same thing. You’ll also need a BSc degree, a GPA aevrage of at least 3.0/4.0, and a good TOEFL or IELTS score.

I’m not sure about which university would be best-rated for this particular program, but I would assume McGill should be a good choice, as will any university that has a well-known name.
