Hello Dan!
Acording to me applying to schools is to be done after clearing the exams as the schools ask for your score first. Some of the schools accept 6.5 band and some 7bands. All accept different scores. And if we talk about preparing for the exams like SAT or GRE and english exams like IELTS and TOEFL,then for these you can prepare side by side. And preparing for IELTS and TOEFL side by side with your other exams can be of great help in the english portion in SAT,GRE,GMAT,etc.
Wish you Good luck!
Oops! I read the question wrong.
Hey friends,
I don’t know but I feel Interior designing + home decoration can benefit me in my future. But Interior designing is available as a diploma course. So, does this matters to get a good job if you are a diploma holder or its almost the same level? I’m also planning that once I’m started with my course in India or abroad,I’ll also fulfill my MBA dream though doing it correspondance along with my regular studies. Rest do upgrade me with your suggestions as well. May be I can get a better option from ur precious advice.
Thanks!
Hello
First of all sorry. Your post was reported by mistake.
And yes,I am looking forward for masters only but if I’ll be able to get a good job after some diploma course of my interest than I won’t be having problem in that as well. But what I think is that degree holding students are preffered more than diploma holders. That is why my first preferance is Masters. Rest you can suggest well I guess and clear all my doubts. Can you suggest some other courses also? And I would surely think about tourism and hospitality as well.
Thanks!
I’m a post graduate in Music Vocal by fault. Since +1 only my subjects included Music Vocal,Music Instrumental and Elective English as my mother pushed me to persue music instead of commerce because I was missing classes due to my singing competitions ans she suggested commerce and music have no relation. My other interests are designing, cooking, and doing some innovative work. I run a workshop where I prepare decorative gift packings, presentations, etc. After almost completing my post graduation I have realised that I can’t take music as my career as I won’t b able to earn enough in this field. It is just a hobby. Now I’m planing to change my field and also for foriegn studies. But still bemused that what should I chose as my career field? Should I opt for Interior designing, hotel management, general business or something else? And I want to go for masters course. Also if I remain in India what option should I go for? I think its too late and my life is ruined.
Hi friends!
I’m back here after a long time. And I’v dropped my plan for MBA. I’m over with my post graduation exams. Now looking forward for the real advice. I’m planning for foriegn studies again if possible. Should I opt for Interior designing, hotel management, general business or something else? And I want to go for masters course. Also if I remain in India then what option should I go for? Hope to get some good advice soon. Thanks!
I would like to know what are your views about this programme as well. Thanks!
Hello freinds, Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestions. I checked out a programme in Georgian college, that was of general business and it’s a diploma. But I wana try this in some other college too. Now can you people suggest me for this. actually if I make a search on google, every college will obviously seem inertesting and good for my future on the basis of studies and all. But people living there can differentiate more between a good college and an average one. Thanks again!
Hello Avinash,
First of all thanks a lot for ur precious advice.Yes,I have already read your earlier response.I agree that after my college studies only i’l be able to apply but the thing is I’ve to prepare myself before hand. And I even know this that the colleges prefer work experience. These things are not the problem. What the main thing is that shall I be taking a right step if I join MBA as I do not have any commerce background,I don’t have any base of this field.I purely belong to music field. But after M.A.,the only option would be to be in the profession of teaching wich I don’t want to.
Secondly,I would like to know about the designing courses available in Canada. What I need in future is a good profile job.And for that I need to know what course should i prefer that I’m able to cope up with the new career option if I take any new one or which field I can opt after being into music for so many years.
Thirdly,I would like to tell that I was intersted in IT field too but could not step in as I was not having Maths in 12th.And few of my freinds have also suggested to go for Hotel Management as they feel the talent of being a good cook at present can also help me in my future quite a well.
So,at this turn I’m in full pressure and unable to decide what to do and what to not.My future seems completely dark to me.So suggest me the best I can do.
Lastly,I even enquired from some canada embassy today. They told me to prepare for IELTS and score 6.5bands+ and also that after music it is difficult for you to cope up with MBA.And for that I need to prepare for GMAT.they have just told me to visit them with a copy of my certificates in the month of December so that I apply for visa first. Then after everything is done, then they will let me know for which course I’l be going to Canada.
I am totally bemused due to which I’m unable to prepare for my MAT and SnAP aswell. So please help me out as soon as possible.I shall be highly obliged.
Hi there Jaspreet,
I thought I’d jump in and help you with your inquiry.
I agree with Avinash, do not become too overwhelmed. Try not to let your insecurities lose focus of your goal. The main objective is to study abroad. Yes, there are many questions to be asked. But, it’s very easy to get confused when even more questions are thrown into the scheme of the initial question. Maintain momentum. However, do so in a productive fashion. Don’t take two steps back in taking one step forward.
It appears to me there your heart and academic background lies within the Design field. Knowing that this is where your strengths are is a good sign. You mentioned you’ve had experience in work shops, specifically in the area of gift wrapping and model work. Have you thought about design path you’d like to study? Also, have you considered pursuing Hotel Management?
In the meantime, I encourage you to look into these School of Arts in Canada. Maybe you’ll find something you like here, seeing that you’re into Design:
1. The Culinary Arts School of Ontario
2. VMMA Makeup Artistry Private School
Please take the time to research and read as much as you can on the programs available. The more you know, the more confident you’ll feel towards making a decision.
I’m here to help if you have any more questions.
Good Luck!
I would like to go to Canada only because its a great place to study. There are so many good universities. And I agree the level of education is also good. But somebody help me as I’m confused what course should I opt to study in Canada.I’m a student of M.A.music vocal final year and have been into this field since +1.But now I feel like changing my field.I’m preparing for snap and mat gor MBA.But also want to try to study in Canada.Should i go for MBA itself or try my hand in some other course in order to get a good job after that?I’m good at designing too.I run a workshop where I make all type of models and projects and also fancy gift wrapipngs. So suggest me what should I opt for?

Dear Jaspreet
It depends on what type of design and business study you want to go into. I would suggest Centennial College for Design Media. You can develop design skills there. York University also offers a great program for design in collaboration with Sheridan College. Those would be my two recommendations.
If you’re looking for a business diploma, I would suggest Centennial or Humber College.
