From the article The" and "A/an
I believe that's dictated by the first letter of the acronym. It's "an MBA" since the pronunciation is "em-bee-A" - starts with an "E", a vowel.
Also, we never say "I was hit by AN LASER beam". It's always - I was hit by a LASER beam.
From the article 5 Commonly Mistaken "A" words
You are correct! While pronouncing European - it's the "Yoo" syllable that comes first - that doesn't start with a vowel and therefore it's incorrect to say "an European".

From the question Which is the hardest part of the GMAT?
Maths is fine and fun too. English however, is a different game in itself.
A major problem with Reading Comprehension is that passages tend to be in difficult English. Another hitch is reading speed. While practice improves comprehension and one starts to answer with better ease, an overall command over English comes only when you improve your reading speed. I'd suggest that reading the editorial sections of major news papers would help.

From the question arument and issue
To add to what Gaurav was saying, there was this website which claimed to have authentic GMAT questions and they did have them! However, the inevitable happened and then they had to shut shop. A number of users from that site had their GMAT scores canceled too!
So, in case there is any site that claims to have original questions, then be wary of it.
From the question What do you write?
@shadyshrey - am looking forward to you current W.I.P.
My poems end up being on the romantic side; however, I'd love to be able to write funny poems - the kind that would make anyone go "roflmao".
More often than not, I feel that my attention span is too short and therefore I can't write anything longer than a short story.
From the question Genres of writing.
I wonder if the style of writing in "A Clockwork Orange" is any good - it's supposed to be in a weird version of English called "Natsat" - there are quite a few people who rave about it.

From the question Why is the USA the best place to study abroad?
Hi Gagan,
For a masters degree from a US university, you will have to send in your application. The first step in the process is taking the GRE exam. Join LearnHub's GRE Community for information, study material and tips on the exam.
Also, you can search for universities on LearnHub's School Finder.
The Support community has a lesson on How to Use the School Finder.
All the best!
