yes indeed india is a country of variation, there are different varieties of people, religions, traditions, food, etc etc
for different festivals different kinds of food is prepared in different parts of the country, for instance on ganesh chaturthi modak is prepared, pongal on onam, on sankranthi different kinds sesame dishes like laddoos, bajra-sesame rotis, mixed vegetable saag(curry), etc, on nag panchami different kinds of laddoos, jowar popcorns, kheer are prepared, on dasara puran puri along with other delicacies is prepared, the list is endless. i think this is not enough, a book should be written on this
