Tue, 15 Jul 2008 13:30:04 -0000
Yeah. video resume is not just a great idea but beneficial too.It depends on the nature of the job too. A animator or 3d artist may submit a video resume along with a printed copy. As i am 3d artist, employer’s always will look my work first that too in CD/DVD or websites etc. So adding a video resume will not harm anyway.

From the discussion Is it necessary to have an embellished and proper CV or simple one can work?
Tue, 15 Jul 2008 13:22:35 -0000
Great . . . .
All resumes look same when you hold 10’s 100’s of them in your hand.(usually for the employer) Something just innovative will just make your’s stand out and people may just see your CV first, thus making your changes more.
(people now send video resumes, its upto the candidate to innovate or just go as it is, KISS, Keep it simple Stupid)

From the discussion IS THE WORLD PROGRESSING OR DEGENERATING?
Mon, 14 Jul 2008 17:00:57 -0000
Hi, oLahav
This is true “Meals, Meat, more important, What humans do?” But try to see the bigger picture. The world is changing as it should be, both economically and our earth’s
climate.Cloning and modified food is just a small picture what we humans are just compensating somewhere.
What i think?
Enough food for the world? genetically modified cereals, food?
Remember our world will be always hungry.and it was true and it will be true forever. Who said genetically modified is the best ? its a just shortcut to rising hunger and more important “rising economy”
See one instance
Uttar Pradesh and harayana are the Wheat basket of India producing more than 50% of wheat. Yes people are using
more fertilizers and genetically modified seeds to get more output.now they are facing a rare problem. soil is
turning saline because of execisive use of fertilizers, they faced this year, but very rarely. The fact is, its
going to increase.
Bigger Fruits and veggie: ha ha the bigger it is the better. Wrong, we use chemicals to ripe mangoes faster, we inject chemicals in vegetables to get bigger size. Well it will make our coming generation prone to many disease that we even dont know now.
Well i DONT SEE ANY POINT BECAUSE ALL YOU SEE IS BELIEF NONE ARE FACTS. BECAUSE PEOPLE FEAR CHANGE AND THEY DON’T EVEN DARE TO CHANGE.
For your knowledge
Now government proposed rivers linking project where all the rivers will be linked to support farming but do you
know in this way fresh water will never reach the ocean and the great thermohaline circulation (THC) will be
affected.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermohaline_circulation).its responsible for all weathers system.
But why i am saying all this?
Whatever happened in the 19th century, all changes, what we have seen is nothing. The earth’s climate is changing more rapidly then ever.
now the question arises “why the government and the mighty US and scientist are not doing anything?”
Simply they will not. Its economy v/s our home planet earth. ECONOMY is our first priority. what say?
One example: Bush is still in his term. One fellow scientist published one report and send it to white house for final verification, for publication. The officials just crossed the report saying its mere speculation. They don’t want to frighten people.they want a
stable government. And moreover the officials were not qualified to know whats wrong and whats right?
Its economy v/s our home “planet earth”
oLahav My say you are right because we can’t help at least, i mean immediate fix. But Tanya is right in this discussion thread.
Again, Its economy v/s our home “planet earth”

IS THE WORLD PROGRESSING OR DEGENERATING?
Yes its degenerating, We are Destroying the World to Save It. Each day we try to make Our Home (Read Earth) a better place to live in with the expense of destroying nature.
“Humanity is sitting on a ticking time bomb. If the vast majority of the world’s scientists are right, we have just ten years to avert a major catastrophe that could send our entire planet into a tail-spin of epic destruction involving extreme weather, floods, droughts, epidemics and killer heat waves beyond anything we have ever experienced.” Check here “http://www.climatecrisis.net/aboutthefilm/”
Watch the DVD if possible.
Just visiting another forum will not help, i think so. We need to act. ACT? Start from home.

i surely agree with you that while forging ahead world is neglecting some areas which need quite a lot of attention…take for eg nature, the extinction of endangered species, if there would not be poaching or hunting, there would be no need for cloning and artificial breeding of animals…...

Well, it gives an employer the chance to assess a person also in terms of personality, body language, behaviour, etc. which on paper you would never be able to express.
