Glad to be invited to join this illustrious team.

My name is David Bowman and I am working on a fourth successful startup.

My diverse background as a serial entreprenrur has been in some very diverse fields of digital music on demand, visual browsing of 3d real estae, broadband optical wireless field trials and most recently in using online collaborative computing in a global holstic healing venture.

This last one is sometimes called Web 2.0 or rethinking medicine which includes emphasis on building on existing social networks for eliciting positive change in our fragile some would say fatally flawed medical systems around the world.

I am a student and a teacher so will be leaning on some of you for advice over the enxt few weeks so please allow in to share your passion for education asit is tyruly shared!

    Namaste

I so enjoy my new found friends here

    Sincerely yours David

  2. From the discussion Audio Recorder

Assuming you are referring to a physical device that is portable and more than merely mono I need one to capture a full ambisonic high quality sonic image and that does not mean Dolby 5.1 surround sound.

On that score I am still looking, Nellie. Until then I use a $400 laptop The Asus Eee running Gutsy Gibon Kubuntu 7.04 Linix OS plus a number of other audio software to numerous to mention.

There is one ideal solution and that is one fabulous free open source solution to creating stereo podcasts as MP3s and OGG formats and much much more. Audacity is its name and that has worked well for me for several years!

Do try Audacity one day soon as it is hard to beat despite a slight learning curve. I have a few years experience on various aspects and one might say the plugins are critical

Do get it by downloading for your OS as it is available from Sourceforge right here:

    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

    Regards David
