    hello i m little bit confused that hw shud i start preparing for CAT..... cud anyone suggest the proper planning as i m gonna start my BCOM second year in august 2009 i Even dont knw hw many months i hve got?? pls do help!!!!!

    hi…i m doing my bcom ii year n m preparing for CAT 2010,presently i m preparing for Quant 4m 8th to 12th grades maths books i wanted to knw that what topics shud i study? n i m wondering to start studying for DI,VA,LR side by side what material shud i refer for this? I M selfstudying at home… is this suffece??..... coz i hve got 8 to 10 months so i want to prepare right from the basics…..

      I suggest that you take an old CAT question paper and try to solve it under the exam conditions. This will help you in the following way:

      1. you will get a feel of the CAT
      2. you will know which section you are strong in and which ones you are weak in
      3. you will also know what kinds of questions you are likely to get stuck in
      4. you will understand how good/bad is your temperament and how you react in pressure situations

      start with your weakest section! i would suggest that you should study all 3 sections every week, so that you are able to cover the syllabus. 10 months will fly away in no time – therefore you should plan properly

      self study is a great asset…but remember that if you get the correct guidance, you can work wonders;
