    C-O bond is HIGHLY POLAR. so when C atom forms 2 bonds with O atoms, it becomes highly polar, which is an unstable condition.also due to STERIC HINDRANCE water molecule is released.

    pOH = pKb + log [salt]/[base] then the answer comes out to be: 0.1 moles in 1000ml i.e. 0.01 moles in 100ml
